Safety
Built for Accra streets.
Ghana Card verification, MoMo deposit holds, geofenced zones and nightly retrieval. Here's how we keep riders, pedestrians and the fleet protected from day one.
Safety first
Four habits that make every ride safer
01
Helmet on, every time
Free helmet pickup at every Glydego hub across Accra. We supply, you wear.
02
Auto-throttle zones
Scooters slow to walking speed near schools, hospitals and pedestrian streets — geofenced into the app.
03
One rider, both hands
No passengers, no phones in hand. Share the road with trotros and okadas — give space, signal early.
04
Park inside the P
End your trip at an official P zone. Keep sidewalks clear for pedestrians and market traffic.
Ghana Card verification
Every rider is verified against their Ghana Card at signup — it's near-universal among adults and ties accounts to a real, accountable identity. No anonymous joyrides, no shared accounts.
MoMo deposit hold
Before your first unlock we place a refundable hold (GHS 100, ~$8) on your mobile money wallet. It filters casual misuse without blocking serious riders, and refunds the instant you park inside a valid zone.
Helmet guide
Free certified helmets at every Glydego hub across Accra. Straps tight, helmet level on the forehead — non-negotiable, especially on the mixed surfaces between Airport City and Cantonments.
Sharing Accra's roads
Single rider, both hands on the bars, no phones in hand. Yield to pedestrians and trotros. Stick to the shoulder where bike lanes don't exist — we're working with the Accra Metropolitan Assembly on dedicated infrastructure.
Geofenced speed zones
Scooters auto-throttle to walking speed near schools, hospitals, market streets and at the edge of every operating zone — the app warns you before the boundary, so you slow down, not stop abruptly.
In an accident
Stop in a safe place, tap the SOS button in the app, stay where you are. Our 24/7 Accra response team is dispatched and your ride is paused. If anyone is injured, call 112 (Ghana emergency services) first.
